One could spend the day going on nature walk,
climbing hills going down to the valleys, jungles, caves; if one is in a lazy
mood just sit and watch the birds, butterflies or even fluffy clouds flitting
across the clear blue sky.
At night one can stargaze. The stars look
bright and big very near indeed on a moonless night. For those who like the
night sky, even the man made satellites may be seen at night moving across the
expanse of the sky.
One could sketch, write, read, sing, play
musical instruments and play indoor games or simply laze around. The
possibilities are immense and endless.
During one's stay one can also visit several places of interest in the
vicinity. These are all situated (one way distance) between 25 Km to
150 Km, from "Uttarayan" : Tripurasundari Mandir, Mahakali
Temple at Gangolihat Patal Bhubaneshwar cave. Koteshwar Cave, Jageshwar,
Mayavati, Champawat Lohaghat, Abbott Mount, Jhulaghat (Indo-Nepal
Border) Pithoragarh, Munshiyari, Birthee Fall, Dharchula Musk Deer
Farm and many others.
Most of the above
require a days excursion if you leave at 5.00 A.M. (with packed
breakfast) and can easily return before dinner time which is at 8.00
P.M.
